Lisa Jason is a registered Dance Movement Therapist, Professional Dancer, Singer/Songwriter, Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Life Coach and Movement Coach who conducts individual, group sessions and workshops. Lisa works with all abilities to help facilitate an authentic mind-body connection. Using principles of Dance Movement Therapy, Mindfulness, Laughter Yoga, Therapeutic Breathing, Emotional Freedom Technique, Guided Imagery, Voice and Meditation and Dance Pedagogy, she encourages exploring and identifying emotions and behaviors that manifest as roadblocks in our daily lives, careers and growing relationships. Deeper body awareness is created facilitating healthy and safe expression, that words cannot access. With a career of 35 years in the performing arts, and over ten years in the helping field, Lisa knows first hand the healing and empowering benefits that creativity can manifest. With a passion for people and spreading kindness and compassion, combined with her non-profit volunteer work with The March of Dimes, serving as their Ambassador for a year, her anti-bullying advocacy, creating arts in recovery programs for Mental Health Companies and organizations that serve individuals with physical and developmental disabilities, her work with professional dancers with Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain injury, Visually Impaired, children and adults on the Autism Spectrum, and most recently women and families who are survivors of sexual violence and human trafficking, Lisa integrates her knowledge of the arts into therapeutic process.
