How do I start a medical visit?

1. Create an FYI account here.
2. For returning FYI members, use the Member Login Button
3. Click on the Request a Visit Button
4.Using your phone, computer, or mobile device, select if you would like to have a video or audio visit.
5. Fill in questions about problem you would like addressed, medications you are currently on, select preferred pharmacy.
6. Wait approximately 10-15 minutes (actual times vary) to receive a call back.
7. Receive treatment that may include a prescription when medically necessary, which the medical provider can call into your pharmacy of choice.*
8. Follow your personalized treatment plan and feel better faster.

How soon can I request a visit after I join FYI?

Right away. As soon as you join FYI you’ll be asked to create a member profile name and password. You’ll then receive an email confirmation. You can then login and request a visit with a medical provider right away.

For return visits just go to the Member Login button , enter your user name and password and request your next visit.

What issues can I have treated as a member of FYI?

When medically necessary, MeMD’s providers (except therapists) can submit a prescription electronically for purchase and pick-up at your local participating pharmacy; however, MeMD providers cannot prescribe elective medications, narcotic pain relievers, or controlled substances. MeMD’s providers are each licensed by the appropriate licensing board for the state in which they are providing services and all have prescriptive authority for each of the states in which they are licensed.

What does my FYI membership include?

Immediate access to telehealth visits through your phone or computer. 24/7/365.

Does my insurance cover FYI? What type of payment do I need?

No. FYI is not insurance and cannot be billed through your insurance.

Your membership to FYI can be paid with any major credit cards as well as your HSA, FSA or HRA accounts.

Who will I speak to when I call?

You will be connected with one of MeMD’s US-based, credentialed, certified, and highly trained physicians, physician’s assistants, nurse practitioners, or therapists who are U.S. board-certified in their specialties, and licensed in your state.

My 9-year-old is coming down with a cold. Can he use my FYI account for a visit?

You will need to create a separate profile for any children, dependents, or spouses. This ensures each person has his/her own medical profile and medical history.

How do I start a talk therapy visit?

1. Create an FYI account here.
2. For returning FYI members, use the Member Login Button
3. From your patient dashboard, request a visit and confirm you would like a talk therapy session. Also, choose if you would like to have a video or audio session.
4. Schedule your appointment with your provider. Please note a credit card is required to reserve your spot, but you will not be charged an additional fee if you keep your visit. The fee applies if you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment or do not show up to your appointment.
5. Receive treatment from a licensed counselor.
6. Follow your personalized treatment plan and feel better faster.
7. You can choose to schedule more visits with your same therapist at the end of your visit. Up to 5 total per month, per member!

Note: Therapy visits are scheduled only and can be made in as few as 24 hours.

How does FYI help me and my family?

Feel better faster. Avoid Urgent Care and waiting rooms. You and your family can contact a healthcare provider today by computer or phone about common non-emergency concerns like flu, colds, allergies, rashes, strains, sprains. And you can make an appointment in as little as 24 hours to speak to a therapist or psychiatrist for yourself (18+) or your teen (age 10 – 17) to discuss any mental health concerns including stress, anxiety, relationship issues, sexual issues and more.

Your healthcare provider will diagnose your symptoms and provide treatment which may include a prescription when medically necessary*

What are the requirements to join FYI?

1. FYI members must be at least eighteen years old, have a valid email address, mailing address, and telephone number.
2. Children and dependents under the age of 26 can be added to the Family Plan.
3. Payments must be made with a valid credit or debit card.
4. For telehealth calls, FYI members must have a high-speed Internet connection. For video consultation, FYI members must have a webcam or video-enabled mobile device. Telehealth calls work best with the following browsers: Chrome for computers, androids, and MacBooks; and Safari for iPhone/iPads.

Age requirements for telehealth services:

  • Urgent Care: FYI members must be at least 18 years to call. Younger members must have a parent/guardian present at the time of the visit.
  • Men’s Health and Women’s Health: members must be at least 18 years old
  • Talk Therapy: Talk therapy members must be at least 18 years old
  • Teen Therapy: Teen Therapy is available to members 10-17. Calls must be scheduled by parent or guardian
  • Psychiatry: Psychiatry is available to members 18+

How much does a visit cost?

Your visit is FREE once you become an FYI member!

Psychiatric visits incur an additional fee of $229 for the first visit, and $99 for follow up visit. Fee will be collected by credit card at the time of scheduling the visit. Patient must be 18 years old.

Are there any other fees to join FYI?

No. No start up fees. No application fees.

How many visits can I have?

Your FYI membership gives you up to four (4) medical (urgent care, women’s health, men’s health) visits per member, per month.Each medical visit above four will be charged at MeMD’s then-current standard medical (urgent care) visit fee rate, which will be collected at the time of service. Currently the rate is $67 but this is subject to change.

Your FYI membership gives you up to five (5) talk therapy visits per member, per month.Each therapy visit above five will be charged at MeMD’s then-current standard therapy visit fee rate, which will be collected at the time of service. Currently, the standard rate is $85 but this is subject to change.

Can I get a prescription during my visit?

Yes, when medically necessary, MeMD’s providers (except therapists) can submit a prescription electronically for purchase and pick-up at your local participating pharmacy. However, MeMD providers cannot prescribe narcotic pain relievers or controlled substances. MeMD’s providers are licensed by the appropriate licensing board for the state in which they are providing services and all have prescriptive authority for the states they are licensed in.

I live in Tennessee but I’m on vacation in Florida. Where should I request my medical visit?
